Winter tires are not optional in most of Canada, and the changeover happens twice a year whether you plan for it or not. Leave it until the first snowfall and you'll queue for a week.
Balancing is the part people skip and shouldn't. An unbalanced wheel sends vibration through the steering at highway speed, wears the tire unevenly and puts load through wheel bearings and suspension components. A few grams of imbalance is enough to feel.
We mount, balance and torque to the manufacturer's specification, and check pressures and tread depth while the wheels are off — which is the easiest time to spot a problem before it becomes one.
